Illegal strike and lock-out under Section 227 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006
As per section-227(BLA-2006),
(1) A strike or lock-out shall be illegal if—
(Ka) it is declared, commenced, or continued without giving notice to the other party involved in the dispute in the manner prescribed by rules, or before or after the date specified in such notice, or in contravention of the provisions of Section 225;
(Kha) it is declared, commenced, or continued in connection with an industrial dispute raised in a manner other than that provided in Section 209;
(Ga) it is continued in contravention of any order made under Section 211 or Section 226; or
(Gha) it is declared, commenced, or continued during the period in which a settlement or award is in force, in respect of any matter covered by such settlement or award.
(2) A lock-out declared in consequence of an illegal strike and a strike declared in consequence of an illegal lock-out shall not be deemed to be illegal.
