Certificate of fitness under Section 37 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006:
As per section -37 of BLA-2006
(1) If, for employment in any occupation or in any establishment, it becomes necessary to examine whether a child is fit, and such examination is requested by the concerned child or by his/her father, mother, or guardian, or if such a request is made similarly by any employer, a registered medical practitioner shall examine the child and give a decision regarding his/her fitness.
Provided that, when such an application is submitted by the child or by his/her father, mother, or guardian, the application shall be accompanied by a certificate from the owner of the establishment in which the child seeks employment, stating that if the child is certified as fit, he/she will be given employment.
(2) Any certificate of fitness issued under this section shall remain valid for a period of twelve months from the date of its issuance.
(3) The fee payable for such a certificate of fitness shall be paid by the employer, and such fee shall not be recoverable from the concerned child or from his/her father, mother, or guardian.
