Weekly working hours under Section 102 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006:
As per Section 102 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006-
(1) No adult worker shall ordinarily be required or allowed to work in an establishment for more than 48(forty-eight hours) in any week.
(2) Subject to the provisions of section 108, an adult worker may work for more than 48(forty-eight hours) in a week in an establishment:
Provided that the total working hours of such worker shall not exceed 60(sixty hours) in any week, and on average, shall not exceed 56(Fifty-six hours) per week in any year:
Provided further that the total overtime hours of a worker employed in a road transport establishment shall not exceed one hundred and fifty hours in a year:
Provided also that in the case of specific industries, the Government may, by written order and subject to such conditions as it may impose, relax the provisions of this section or exempt an establishment from them for a period not exceeding 6(six months) at a time, if the Government is satisfied that such relaxation or exemption is necessary in the public interest or for economic development.
