Break for rest or meal under Section 101 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006:
In any establishment, no worker shall -
(Ka) To work more than six hours a day, unless they are given a break of one hour for rest or meals on that day;
(Kha) To work more than five hours a day, unless they are given a break of half an hour for the said purpose on that day; or
(GA) To work more than eight hours a day, unless they are given one break under clause (KA) or two breaks under clause (Kha) for the said purpose on that day.
(Gha) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Government shall determine the working hours and rest periods through rules, in the prescribed manner, for various types of factories engaged in physically risky and laborious work, including construction, re-rolling, steel mills, ship breaking, and welding.
