Calculation and payment of wages during leave or closure under Section 119 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006:
As per Section-119-BLA-2006,
(1) The rate of wages payable to a worker for leave or holidays granted under this Act shall be equal to the daily average of their full-time wages, dearness allowance, and ad-hoc or interim wages (if any) paid for the days they worked during the month immediately preceding their leave, excluding overtime allowances and bonuses.
Provided that, if a worker in any establishment is entitled to receive cash instead of food grain supply facilities, such cash value shall be included in their wages.
(2) If an adult worker is granted annual leave for a period of not less than four days, or an adolescent (minor) worker for a period of not less than five days at a time, their leave wages shall, as far as possible, be paid before their leave begins.
