Amount of Maternity Welfare Benefits under Section 48 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006:
(1) The maternity benefit payable under this Chapter shall be paid entirely in cash, through bank transfer, or by electronic fund transfer (EFT), at the average rate of wages calculated in the manner specified in sub-section (2), whether such wages are paid on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, as applicable.
(2) For sub-section (1), the daily average wage shall be calculated by dividing the wages paid for the last month by twenty-six (26).
