Adolescents working hours under Section 41 | Bangladesh Labor Act -2006:
(1) No adolescent shall be permitted to work in any factory or mine for more than five hours daily and more than thirty hours in a week.
(2) No adolescent shall be permitted to work in any other establishment for more than seven hours daily and more than forty-two hours in a week.
(3) No adolescent shall be permitted to work in any establishment between the hours of 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
(4) If an adolescent works overtime, their total working hours, including overtime, shall not exceed:
(KA) In the case of a factory or mine, thirty-six hours a week;
(Kha) In the case of any other establishment, forty-eight hours a week.
(5) The working hours of an adolescent in any establishment shall be restricted to two shifts, and the time limit of any shift shall not exceed seven and a half hours.
(6) An adolescent may be employed only in one relay, and this shall not be changed more than once within thirty days without the written prior approval of the Labour Inspector.
(7) The provisions regarding weekly holidays under this Act shall also apply to adolescent workers, and the application of this provision shall not be suspended in the case of adolescent workers.
(8) No adolescent shall be permitted to work in more than one establishment on the same day.
